Welcome to Wren Avenue!

Wren Avenue Elementary is transitioning to be the MDUSD Visual and Performing Arts magnet school. We are creating a collaborative community providing an artistic avenue for students to fulfill high academic expectations in the arts, reading, writing, English language development, math, science and technology.

Magnet schools offer students a unique opportunity for in-depth studies in a specific area of interest that is school-wide and integrated. Magnet schools attract a wide-range of students, creating richly diverse learning environments that help close the achievement gap. They provide increased parent choice, support neighborhood schools and focus on 21st century skills.

Parent and community involvement is highly encouraged.

Building Partnerships

Did you know? Our staff is working diligently behind the scenes to build partnerships with the City of Concord and community arts organizations. There is a lot of enthusiasm for arts in our community!

On March 6, we spoke during the Public Comment portion of the Concord City Council Meeting. Click here to watch the video (we are the first speakers).

In the coming months, we will be preparing a longer presentation to be on the meeting agenda. Stay tuned for the date and more details! We'd love for you to come out and show your support!
